Dr. Paymaun volunteered to provide free-of-charge vision screenings at the Asian Resource Center in Elk Grove.

Urban Cow Marathon 2023

Dr. Paymaun volunteered with Unite for Stride to be a sighted guide for an individual that was visually impaired during the Urban Cow Marathon in Sacramento. This individual unfortunately lost their eyesight in both eyes and is nearly deaf. They successfully completed a 5k marathon in Sacramento. This individual hasn’t walked a longer distance due to their limitations. It was challenging but incredibly rewarding.
Unite for Stride is an organization that connects visually impaired individuals and athletes with sighted guides.
Arden Park Fall Festival

Arden Park Optometry participated and donated to the annual Fall Festival at Arden Park. At the event, we had a booth where we provided vision screenings and shared exciting tools and instruments we use in eye care, including testing color vision!
The Arden Park Recreation and Park District hosts an annual Fall Festival and it is an autumn-filled adventure for families and kids. There was petting zoo, bounce houses, and carnival games. In addition, there were craft vendors, a beer/wine garden, food trucks, live music, and even a pumpkin patch!
We had a wonderful time and we had an amazing turnout at our booth!
