Arden Park Optometry is committed to providing top-quality eye care to Sacramento-area residents. We know how important your vision and your eyes are, and we appreciate your trust in our doctors and staff.
Arden Park Optometry has been established at our current location since May 2018. Prior to this, our practice was called
Arden Howe Optometry and was located in the Arden Howe Plaza. Dr. Hinkley became the owner in December 2010, after purchasing the practice from the estate of Dr. Douglas Clarke.
Dr. Hinkley, a native of San Jose, CA, did not choose Optometry as her first career. That may be why she is so passionate about vision and quality eye care now.
After graduating from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, she was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1997. While on active duty, she served in Pensacola, FL, Guam, Ft. Meade, MD, and Alameda, CA, before joining the Navy Reserve in 2004, where she served as the Executive Officer of Navy Information Operations Command, Camp Parks, from 2006 to 2008.
Dr. Hinkley graduated Optometry School from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2009 and completed a subsequent residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Northport, NY, specializing in Primary Care and Vision Rehabilitation, in 2010. She returned to Berkeley as part of the Binocular Vision Clinic faculty from 2010 to 2012 and has served as adjunct faculty to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Optometry school.
Dr. Hinkley transferred from the Navy to the California Air National Guard in 2012, where she continues to serve as the Chief of the Optometry Clinic for the 129th Rescue Wing, based at Moffett Federal Air Field, CA. #thatothersmaylive
In her (limited) free time, Dr. Hinkley enjoys spending time with her husband and children and tap dancing.
